Open the client portalReporting a claim
We've given claims their own page, with what to do in the first hour, what to have ready, and the mistakes that cost people money: Report a claim →
The short version:
- Make sure everyone is safe and get medical attention if anyone needs it. Call the police if there's an accident, injury, theft, or vandalism.
- Prevent further damage where you safely can — shut off the water, cover the broken window. Keep the receipts; those costs are often covered.
- Document everything. Photos and video of the damage, from several angles, before repairs begin.
- Report it promptly. Most carriers have 24/7 claim lines, and you can file directly with them or through the client portal. Delays can complicate a claim.
- Let us know. Call or email us with the claim number. We'll follow it with you and step in if it stalls.
Paying your bill
Most policies are billed directly by the carrier, so payments go to them rather than to us. If you are not sure who to pay or a bill looks wrong, call the office and we will point you at the right place.
If you're not sure who bills your policy, check the client portal or call the office and we'll point you to the right place.
Making a policy change
Bought a car, moved, finished a renovation, added a driver, hired an employee? Tell us as soon as you can. Most changes can be made effective the day you call, but coverage generally isn't retroactive — so the sooner we know, the better protected you are.
