Text messaging, explained

Texting is the fastest way to reach us about a small thing. Here is exactly what you are agreeing to, and how to turn it off.

At a glance

What texting with us looks like

What we send

Quote follow-ups, renewal and billing reminders, document requests, claim updates, and replies when you text us a question. Occasionally a service announcement from the agency.

How often

Message frequency varies with your policies and what is happening on them. Most clients get a handful of messages a year; during a claim or a renewal it may be several in a week.

What it costs

Nothing from us. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier, depending on your plan.

How to opt in

You can give consent in any of these ways:

  • Ticking the consent box on a form on this website
  • Telling a member of our team, in person or on the phone, that we may text you
  • Texting us first at (732) 640-1185
  • Signing a document at the agency that includes text message consent

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to text messages to get a quote, buy a policy, or be serviced by us. Phone and email work just as well.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message from us. You will get one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then nothing further. You can also call the office and ask us to remove you.

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or call (732) 640-1185.

If you opt out and later change your mind, just tell us and we will turn it back on.

Things worth knowing

  • We will not sell or share your mobile number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
  • Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Texts are not a secure channel. Do not send us your driver's license number, date of birth, payment details or other sensitive information by text — call the office instead.
  • Coverage cannot be bound, changed or cancelled by text message. A text is not in force until we confirm it in writing and the carrier accepts it. If you need coverage immediately, call us during business hours.

Where your information goes

Your number and the content of your messages are handled under our Privacy Policy.

Questions about any of this?

Call the office and ask for a person. That still works too.
